I've been thinking about when and if I should make an Artist Alley appearance at one or more conventions. Earlier this year, I decided to take the plunge and see if I could get into an Artist Alley.
I got into two.
I submitted table requests to three conventions. Admittedly, I wasn't entirely sure if the third still had spots available, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. I'm glad that one was already full for this year, though — I would only have a month between it and the next had I gotten in. I'm not sure I'll be ready for that this year.
So. You want to know where I will be appearing, right? Sure, ya do! Geek Kon in Madison, which is held in September, and Daisho Con in Wisconsin Dells, which is held in November.
I'm excited and terrified all at the same time. There's no choice but to go for it, though, because if I don't, I'll never be ready to do it. And let me tell you, all the best things I've done, I haven't felt ready to do. The only way to learn, is by doing.
This first experience, however, may be a little tight on the wallet. I need to figure out how I'm going to fund the appearance. I'll keep you posted here, and also be sure to check the Marshamallow page regularly on Facebook! For some reason, I update there way more frequently than here.
