Post-Daisho Con 2012

We had a great time at Daisho Con! Met some new friends, reconnected with not-as new friends (and a few old friends), and there was much squealing to be had for the marshmallows! That alone made my weekend (The Captain America dancers were especially excited) :)

As of right now, I'm planning on tabling Daisho Con 2013. Looking forward to it!

Now that I've read Homestuck (it took me about 2 months of weekends and evenings to get caught up), I was even more appreciative of the Homestuck cosplays I saw. Almost all of them were pretty amazing and creative. Again, I didn't get very many photos, so eh. I suck.

A couple of our friends had a last minute feline emergency and weren't sure if they'd be able to make it out to help with the table. Thank goodness, kitty is OK and they were able to come after all!

Honestly, about the only down side to the trip were the beds at our hotel. They aren't bad, per se, and really, we're not complaining... but out of the five of us, four decided that the beds were "deceptively uncomfortable". They bounced beautifully, they were really comfy when laid upon.. but for some reason, by morning, each of us would be stiff. No idea what's up there, but I haven't been so glad to get to my own bed in ages! Would I stay again? Quite possibly.

The only real gripe I have is that I need to get away from the table a little more often. Saturday in particular, I was beat by the end of the day. Didn't even want to go swimming, just eat and go to bed. I think if I take a "real" break at some point (and maybe a nap), just get away from the activity for a short while, my body will thank me :)
